We are excited to announce that Dr. Chantelle Warner, CERCLL Co-Director, has been recognized wth the Chatfield Outstanding Tenured Researcher Award, from the University of Arizona’s College of Humanities. Dr. Warner was nominated for this award by a group of UArizona faculty and staff who are inspired by her impressive achievements, and many of whom are honored to collaborate and work with her on various projects. They described her commendable record of publications and grants, her exemplary teaching and advising, and her admirable–and widely recognised–service to the University and to the profession at large, both nationally and internationally.
Named after an alum and great friend of the College of Humanities, the COH Helen H. Chatfield Awards are designed to honor Ms. Chatfield’s life, which was driven by curiosity and a sense of play. A successful investor and philanthropist, Ms. Chatfield was also an avid outdoorswoman and art lover. These passions were consistently marked by her appreciation of work that introduced new voices and ideas to the world, or that brought to light significant figures whose contributions had been overshadowed.
Four scholars were recognised by Dorrance Dean Durand in this year’s competition, one each in the following categories: Anti-Racist Research, Teaching, or Service Award; Impact Award: Outstanding Tenured Researcher Award; and Outstanding Untenured Researcher Award.
