CERCLL and the other fifteen Title VI-funded Language Resource Centers will be at the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) convention in November. There are several ways to learn about us there!

Exhibit Hall Show

Visit us in the exhibit hall in booth 4638, Friday November 17 to Sunday November 19, 2023, where all sixteen of our centers will have materials on hand to let you know what resources and professional development opportunities are available now, and what’s coming soon!

Exhibitor Workshop:

Where Resources Meet Research – Discover LRC’s Treasures

Friday, November 17, 2:30-3:15 pm
Exhibitor Workshop Room #7 – McCormick Place West
12 of the LRCs will be on hand to answer your questions about our resources!

From the ACTFL Program: Did you know there is a national network of Language Resource Centers devoted to improving the teaching of languages? Discover the many free resources and professional development (PD) opportunities LRCs have to offer for K-16 world, DLI, heritage, and indigenous language educators. Find the information you need from one (or all!) of these sharing stations offered by LRC representatives: 1) Research & Assessment; 2) Digital Tools; 3) PD; and 4) Teaching.

Regular Session:

Free Standards-Based Language Teaching Resources from the LRCs

Friday, November 17, 10:00-10:45 am
McCormick Place – West Building, Room: W181c

From the ACTFL Program: Come learn about free standards-based resources for teachers available from 16 Language Resource Centers funded by the US Department of Education: no-cost teacher resource guides and manuals, online materials and assessments in specific languages, and more for teachers of all levels and languages. URLs for downloadable resources are provided.

If you can’t make it to Chicago for ACTFL (and even if you can), you will always find details about the Language Resource Centers on the LRC website, with links to our resources and web presences.
