Through evidence-based insights, practical strategies, and collaborative dialogue, this webinar series will equip language educators to make informed decisions about leveraging AI tools thoughtfully while keeping themselves and their learners at the center of the language educational journey.

  • January 23, 2026, 10:00 AM MST, The Promises and Perils of Generative AI for Second Language Literacy Development: The Case of Reading, presented by Kristen Michelson, Associate Professor of French & Applied Linguistics in the Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Literatures at Texas Tech University.
  • February 19, 2026, 10:00 AM MST, Designing Immersive Learning Experiences in the Language Classroom: Leveraging AI for Interpersonal Communication, presented by Christiane Reves, Clinical Assistant Professor and Language Program Director in the New York University Department of German.

 

The webinars are free to attend, but participants must register in advance. Participants who attend these events live can request a certificate of attendance for 1.5 hours of continuing education for each webinar they attend. In addition, live attendees will be contacted after each webinar with information about how to apply for a digital badge.
