Description: CERCLL offers a summer series of professional development opportunities relating to language teaching and learning. These workshops are aimed toward K-16 language educators and university/graduate-level students, but are open to anyone who is interested.

June 3 Teaching Portuguese to Spanish-Speaking Learners (L1, L2 and Heritage): A Structured/Enhanced Input Approach
June 4 Developing Foreign Language Courses Using A Multiple Literacies Approach
June 5 Technology and Language Instruction: Web 2.0, Social Networking, Interactive Audio and Video Explained!
June 15-16 Web 2.0 – Interactive Technologies in the World Language Classroom

Location: University of Arizona, Computer Center


Credit: 6 hours of Arizona Continuing Education credit for each workshop day.


Registration Cost: Includes resources and refreshments.

Early registration fees (received by May 2, 2009):

Two or more workshop days $40 per day $20 per day

Late registration fees (received after May 2, 2009):

  Regular Student
Single workshop day $70 $45
Two or more workshop days $60 per day $40 per day
