Foreign Language Resource Centers - Since 1990, the U.S. Department of Education has awarded Title VI grants to institutions of higher education in order to establish language resource centers (LRCs). The common goal of the LRCs is to promote the learning and teaching of foreign languages in the United States.

CLEAR - The Center of Language Education and Research (CLEAR) at Michigan State University.
CeLCAR - The Center for the Languages of the Central Asian Region (CeLCAR) at Indiana University.
LARC - Language Acquisition Resource Center at San Diego State University.
NASLRC - National African Language Resource Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
NCLRC - National Capital Language Resource Center at George Washington University.
NEALRC - The National East Asian Languages Resource Center (NEALRC) at Ohio State University
NFLRC - National Foreign Language Resource Center at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
NMELRC - The National Middle East Language Resource Center at Brigham Young University.
SEELRC - The Slavic and East European Language Research Center (SEELRC) at Duke University.
SALRC- The South Asia Language Resource Center at the University of Chicago.

Phonetics Flash Animation Project - This site, hosted by the University of Iowa, contains animated libraries of the phonetic sounds of Spanish and English. It is intended for students of phonetics, linguistics, and foreign language. There is also an interactive diagram of the articulatory anatomy.
Webgapper - Web based cloze reading tool that can provide simple exercises for practicing language learning. Go to the site, in the box at the top put in a url such as http://www.ariadne.ac.uk/issue42/daw/ click on Get Page button. This will put a box at top of the page that lets you retrieve the referenced page with letters missing. Students then have to figure out what letters are missing. This type of exercise is called ‘cloze reading'.
MaxAuthor - The University of Arizona Computer Aided Language Instruction Group (UACALI) has made freely available for non-commercial use its MS-Windows and Internet based multimedia CALL authoring system. Examples of MaxAuthor designed lessons are available through their website.
Technology Chart (PDF) - This chart outlines some of the technology being used on the campus of the University of Arizona for language instruction. The document was created by Garry Forger in December of 2006.
Arizona Language Association - AZLA is the not-for-profit professional association for language teachers in Arizona(the Southwest Conference on Language Teaching), dedicated to promoting the effective teaching of all languages. AZLA is the Arizona affiliate of ACTFL (the American Council of Teachers of Foreign Languages) and SWCOLT
