Summer 2017 Workshop Travel Scholarships

CERCLL has travel scholarships available for teachers or curriculum developers who wish to participate in the summer workshop on June 6-7, Foreign Languages and the Literary in the Everyday (FLLITE) Project (click here for the abstract), and then develop a lesson to contribute to the FLLITE archive and be shared there with other educators.

Applicants are asked to submit a brief description of a sample lesson, which they would like to develop through the workshop and ultimately publish in the FLLITE archive.

Awards and Eligibility

The scholarship covers up to $500 towards travel-related expenses such as airfare or mileage reimbursement, per diem and hotel costs (for those coming from outside Tucson), and workshop registration fees. To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be fulltime K-16 teachers or graduate students.

Funding will be awarded when the completed lesson is submitted to CERCLL after the workshop; this must be received by June 30, 2017. In addition, the original receipts for travel costs must be submitted to CERCLL by this date.

Describe the lesson plan that you would like to develop in ~400 words. Please make sure to include the level (beginner/intermediate/advanced) and to mention why you think this is a good candidate for a FLLITE lesson.
